Metaplanet Announces Joint Study to Bring Bitcoin-Backed Digital Credit to Japan

Metaplanet, Japan's largest corporate Bitcoin holder with 43,000 BTC, launched a joint study with JPYC, Progmat, and its newly acquired securities arm to develop tokenized Bitcoin-backed credit products. The initiative aims to democratize debt financing for mid-sized Japanese companies by enabling 24/7 settlement on blockchain infrastructure, expanding beyond traditional bond markets that favor large corporations.
